Acceptable Use Policy

1. Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses GetWebsiteBuilt (the "Service"), including account holders, sites you publish, and anyone accessing the Service through your account. It is part of our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP can result in content removal, suspension, or termination.

2. Prohibited Content

You may not use the Service to publish, host, or generate:

• Content that is illegal where you, your business, or your site visitors are located.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors. We report CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and applicable authorities.
• Content that promotes terrorism, violent extremism, or organized criminal activity.
• Content that threatens, harasses, defames, or incites violence or discrimination against an individual or group based on protected characteristics.
• Sexually explicit material, pornography, or escort/prostitution services.
• Material that infringes copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights. See our DMCA Policy.
• Personal information of others published without lawful basis (doxxing, non-consensual intimate imagery, etc.).
• Deceptive content designed to mislead users about identity or affiliation.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the Service to:

• Distribute malware, phishing pages, credential-harvesting forms, or other content designed to compromise users or systems.
• Send unsolicited bulk communications (spam), whether email, SMS, push notifications, or otherwise, using contact forms, the Service, or content hosted on it.
• Operate fraudulent businesses, "scam" pages, fake storefronts, pyramid schemes, or unauthorized financial services.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system, or attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or access controls. Authorized security research must be coordinated in advance (see Section 8).
• Use automated tools or scripts to scrape, crawl, mirror, or replicate the Service in a way that imposes disproportionate load.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code or other internals from the Service, except where this is expressly permitted by law and cannot be waived by contract.
• Resell, sublicense, or relabel the Service as your own, except via a written partner agreement with us.
• Manipulate the site-generation features in an attempt to extract their underlying configuration or instructions, or to generate content prohibited by Section 2.

4. Restricted Categories

The following categories are restricted. You may use the Service for them only if you are fully compliant with applicable law and have any required licenses; we may ask for proof and may decline service at our discretion:

• Firearms, ammunition, weapons, and weapons accessories.
• Cannabis, CBD, kratom, nicotine, vaping products, and other regulated substances.
• Gambling, sports betting, lotteries, and sweepstakes.
• Adult products and services that are not pornographic.
• Cryptocurrency exchanges, ICOs, NFT mints, and related financial products.

5. Generated Content Rules

• You are responsible for reviewing and editing generated content before publishing. Publishing means you take ownership of the content as your own.
• Do not use the Service's generation features to impersonate real people, generate misleading medical, legal, or financial advice presented as professional counsel, or to produce defamatory statements about identifiable individuals.
• Generated or edited images of identifiable real people require their consent.

6. Reporting Abuse

To report a site hosted on *.getwebsitebuilt.com or a custom domain served by our infrastructure, email legal@getwebsitebuilt.com. Include the URL, a description of the issue, and any supporting evidence. Copyright complaints should follow our DMCA Policy instead.

7. Enforcement

We investigate reports we receive and findings from our own monitoring. Depending on severity, response may include warning, content removal, feature restriction, site unpublishing, account suspension, or termination. For severe or repeat violations, we may act without prior notice. We may cooperate with law enforcement when required.

8. Security Research

We welcome good-faith security research. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, contact us at support@getwebsitebuilt.com and allow us reasonable time to investigate before public disclosure. Do not access, modify, or exfiltrate data that is not yours; do not perform denial of service tests.

9. Changes

We may update this AUP as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced at least 14 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
