Credit Terms

Effective date: August 18, 2026

1. What Credits Are

A credit is the unit you spend to generate website copy with GetWebsiteBuilt. One credit pays for one generation, whether creating a new site or regenerating the copy on an existing site. New accounts start with a small number of free credits; you can buy more at any time. Credits are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or withdrawn.

2. Buying Credits

Credits are sold in one-off packs. Each purchase is a single charge processed by Stripe. It is not a recurring subscription, and buying a pack never enrolls you in one. The available pack sizes and their prices are shown in your dashboard at the moment of purchase; those prices govern the transaction.

By confirming a purchase you authorize the charge to your selected payment method and agree to these Credit Terms. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

3. Expiration

Purchased credits expire 365 days (1 year) after the date of purchase. Once expired, credits are removed from your balance and cannot be restored or refunded. We may, but are not obligated to, notify you before credits expire.

4. Using Credits

A credit is consumed each time you start a generation, whether or not you choose to publish the resulting site. Because each generation incurs real cost on our side, credits spent on a generation are non-refundable, including when you are unhappy with the generated copy. You can regenerate, which spends another credit. Publishing a site is billed separately from credits, under your site subscription.

5. Refunds

Unused, unexpired credits may be eligible for a refund at our discretion if you contact us within 14 days of purchase. Credits that have been spent or have expired are not refundable. Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable refund rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

6. Changes and Account Closure

We may change pack sizes, pricing, and these terms going forward; changes do not alter the price or expiration of credits you have already purchased. If your account is closed or terminated for violating our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, any remaining credits are forfeited.

Deleting your own account has the same effect. Any credits still on your balance are gone, including ones you paid for, and we cannot restore or refund them afterwards. Credits belong to the account that bought them and cannot be moved to another account, so if you plan to start again with a different email, spend them first.
